Meeting was
opened by Ken at 6:40 pm with a hardy welcome to all.

Quick fire
cooking is being handled by Dave Browne from now on. We need people for March meeting. See Dave if interested. We have Carrie, George, and Angela right now
for March.

Business:
Practical
exam will be March 17 at the University of Akron. It will be at LCJVS on May 5 and September.
Free
sanitation course given to members on March 5, 12, 19, 26, 2012.
The SS Kemp
Culinary Competition will be in October, 2012.
Need people to volunteer to work it.
2012 Chef of
the Year nominations will be at the April meeting.
Chapter officer’s
nominations will be at the September meeting.
Installed in January, 2013
Chef of the
Year dinner and Awards will be October 14, 2012
The board
decided for the chef coats for new members will be as follows:
We will pay
a total of $25.00 per coat per new member.
The new members are to contact the Uniform guy directly and order their
coats. If the members want a more
expensive coat, they will pick up the difference. The uniform guy will invoice the chapter for
the $25.00 per coat.
New
Business:
Dave Browne
needs FCCLA judges on March 29. Contact
him.
University
of Akron ice team will be in Medina event.
Jeanne Sneinder
is sick and we are sending a card from the chapter.

at 7:00 pm by Ken.
The
educational component was Dr. Kuber from Ohio State with lamb fabrication and
cookery. Thanks Dr. Kuber for a great
demo and food.
John was the
winner of the quick fire event and won $50.00.
